Early life of James

Newmarket, Ontario, Canada is a birthplace of James. His mother is Kathleen while Percy Carrey is the father of Carrey. Carrey lived in Scarborough, Ontario. He has three older siblings: John, Patricia, and Rita. He acquired Grade 10 at Agincourt Collegiate Institute.

Married Life

Firstly, Carrey has been married to former actress and Comedy Store waitress Melissa Womer. He weds her on March 28, 1987. Their daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, was born on September 6, 1987. While Carrey and Womer divorced in 1995. After a year, Carrey married his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly on September 23, 1996. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted less than a year. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Carrey had a much-publicized, short-lived romance with his Me, Myself and Irene-star Renée Zellweger, to whom he was engaged from 1999 to 2000. Carrey met model and actress Jenny McCarthy in 2005 and made their relationship public in June 2006. In April 2010, the two ended their relationship. Carrey attended Golden Globes 2019 Party with his new girlfriend Ginger Gonzaga in January 2019.

Career

James' first leading roles in motion pictures were Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Dumb and Dumber in 1994. Dumb and Dumber was a commercial success. It grossed over $270 million worldwide.
