Pink Beach

What better way to start the list than with the most unique beach of the group. This extraordinary pink beach is located in the Komodo National Park and is one of seven such sites that can be found on the planet!

The beach takes on a soft pink color because of the microscopic animals called Foraminifer that attach to the coral reefs. When the tiny pieces of red coral blend with the white sand as if by magic, it creates that delicious cotton candy color.

White Lady On Pink Beach

This beach is certainly one of the most unique you will ever encounter, so if you choose to visit only one of these lists, be sure to make this one!

TIP: Don’t forget to pack a snorkel as the National Park is home to some world-class diving and snorkeling sites.

Best Time to Visit: Between May & September

How to get there: The Pink Beach is only accessible through a private or organized boat tour from the neighboring fishing village of Labuan Bajo. There are daily flights to LB from Denpasar airport in Bali.

Where to stay:Why not try the unusual hostel La Boheme. Offering private or dormitory-style accommodation, all guests are welcome to enjoy free banana pancakes 24 hours a day! Beds from £ 7.03 per night.
