Begining life

Sydney, New South Wales, is the birthplace of Jackman. Grace McNeil and Christopher John Jackman are his parents. They were English and had come to Australia in 1967. Jackman studied at Pymble Public School.
Later he attended the all-boys Knox Grammar School. He worked at Uppingham School in England as a Physical Education
teacher during his graduation. At the Actors' Centre in Sydney,Jackman completed the one-year course

On 11 April 1996, Jackman wedded Deborra-Lee Furness, at St. John's, Victoria. Furness had two miscarriages, Due to which she and Jackman adopted two children, Oscar and Ava. Jackman is a Christian and a "religious person".He follows the spiritually eclectic School of Practical Philosophy.
