So try to choose those words that will give you a positive impact on the person instead of a negative conclusion.

Connotation and Denotation

Talk about word choice is really helpful. Denotation is related to define a word. In our first example, both 'pretty' and 'beautiful' have the same denotation. The connotation is a feeling observing by a word. 'beautiful' gives positive reflections, but 'pretty' says a little bit negative.

The use of words should be perfect to describe the situation. The feelings associated with your words give a breakthrough into the story.

The word used as a” Disable” will give a totally different expression on the reader's mind whereas crippled is more hard word to use. The tone of your writing will impact the reader’s mind. An example is here:

Imagine the speaker in a novel is explaining a character. “Harry” is near to 72 years old, but he performed energetically and youthfully..' Loaded Words: Analogies and Allusions

Allusions are the referencing words just like a story or person or an event. Sometimes more words are associated that create a load. Follow the example.

'My father “spends money but hardly. He is so skimpy. The connotation used in it is positive; the father is careful in the use of money. Change the connotation: 'My father “spends money but hardly. He is a miser person or penny-pincher!'. The voice is totally negative. He is not a miser person but knows very well to use the money.

Here is a story of the well-known character from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. , Ebenezer Scrooge is a person who is full of greediness and ruins himself. The allusion related to this story is the use of scrooge that is the negative connotation. A whole themeisinside this word.

An analogy is a way of explaining something by comparing it with familiar aspects. The writer, Poets, and fiction people use these words in their writing. If they're writing related to some particular idea or feeling then they will try to use the comparison style to give a clear impact to the readers. See example

He uses analogies to clear the idea that life is full of positive and negative impacts that can affect our lives and change the aim of our existence.
