Preparation Time : 45 minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Long Grain (Basmati) Rice - 1 ½ cup
  2. Green peas - 1 cup
  3. Paneer (cut into small cubes, deep fried) - 50 gms
  4. Chopped fenugreek leaves - a small bunch
  5. Tomatoes, chopped - 2
  6. Garlic paste - 5 flakes
  7. Green chilies, chopped - 3
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  9. Red chili powder to taste
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil / butter - 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Wash methi properly and drain the water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in the pan and add garlic paste and fry till light brown.
  • Now add tomatoes, peas, methi, green chilies, salt, chili powder and turmeric powder.
  • Stir-fry for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add rice and fry well for another 5 minutes.
  • Add enough water and pressure cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fried paneer.
  • Serve the methi (fenugreek) pulao hot with chilled raita.
