Family Members

We are only three brothers. Two of them are married and well settled. My parents are in their late sixties. Both of them are healthy and active. My father is a retired banker while my mother is a housewife. My father has poor eyesight yet he is active in outdoor life. My mother remains busy with household chores. She is good at cooking local dishes.

I am studying at a government college. I am a poet. I contribute to a large number of literary periodicals. I contribute to an English newspaper as well. Literature is my favorite subject. I want to join the professor. Qualified teaching.

One of my brothers lives in UAE. He is an engineer by profession. He recently settled there. He has two children: son, Hasan, and daughter Maheer. He is very hardworking and serving.

My eldest brother is a principal at a private college. He has two little daughters: Nayab and Tehzeeb. Nayab is very intelligent and agile. His wife is a good housekeeper. She knows how to sew clothes. She often sews clothes of new fashion for the whole family. We are a happy family because everyone knows his duties and responsibilities.

Communication among Family Members

Walter Bagehot said: “Worst families are those in which the members never really speak their minds to one another; they maintain an atmosphere of unreality, and everyone always lives in an atmosphere of suppressed ill-feeling.”

But contrary to that, there is great coordination and communication between my family members. They all take care of one another. They share the household duties. They share their joy and sorrows. They make plans for entertainment together. They always make life easy for one another. That’s the mystery of their happy and contented life.
